ELLISVILLE – A trio of Jones College Bobcats have been selected to the All-MACJC men's soccer team.
Mason Morgan (Jackson Prep), Peyton Ratcliff (Northwest Rankin) and Chris Dempsey (Belfast, Ireland) were name to the team.
In addition, Jones head coach Brendan Connolly has been named MACJC Coach of the Year for the second straight season.
Morgan, a freshman defender, was excellent on the back end all season. He had two assists on the year.
Ratcliff, a sophomore midfielder who transferred to Jones from William Carey University, started every game for the Bobcats. He had six goals and three assists. He has been selected to participate in the 2019 MACJC Soccer Sophomore All-Star Game at 2:30 p.m. on Nov. 16 in Ridgeland.
Dempsey, a freshman forward, led the team and the MACJC in scoring with 16 goals, six assists and 38 points.
Connolly guided the Bobcats to their second straight conference championship and its second straight appearance in the NJCAA district playoffs. Jones posted a 12-6-1 record this season and is 26-9-2 over the past two years.
Connolly is 40-25-3 in his four years as head coach of the Bobcats.
