In this article we will be breaking down the early-season performances from some of the players dropping down from the Division One ranks. These players are hoping a strong season  propels their return to the Division One level.

1.) Sean East II, 3rd year guard - John A. Logan

D1 stats w/Bradley: 9.0 points, 3.2 rebounds, 3.7 assists

East kicked off his NJCAA career with 25 points in the Vols opening win over Mineral Area, then 17 points against Three Rivers. The former reliable Division One point guard will garner All-America team consideration in 2021-22.

2.) Drew Lowder, 3rd year Sophomore guard -East Lansing

2020-21 stats w/Eastern Michigan: 8.5 Points, 1.7 Assists

Similar to the East, new Lansing CC guard Drew Lowder joins his third school in three seasons. The 6-foot guard guided Lansing to a two-victory over Delta College, thanks to his 35 point outburst. Lowder averaged 27 points, 5.0 rebounds, 6.0 assists, and shooting 53.4 percent in three games.

3.) Daniss Jenkins 3rd year guard -  Odessa

2020-21 stats w/Pacific: 12.2 points

It's not surprising that Jenkins, who led the Pacific Tigers of the West Coast Conference in scoring, kicked off his Odessa College career on the right note. Despite losing both games, the former D1 standout posted 25 points against Hutch and 17 against Barton. I definitely would expect Jenkins to continue posting gaudy scoring numbers for Odessa.

4.) Dericko Williams, RS-SO Forward - Tallahassee

2020-21 stats w/UNC Greensboro: 1.7 points, 1.7 rebounds

Williams spent two seasons at UNC Greensboro but never found his footing at the Division One level. The strong 6-foot-8 forward led the Eagles with 18 points, 11 rebounds, and three blocks in their opening season victory over Indian River State.

5.) Devin Butts 3rd Year Wing -  NMJC

2020-21 stats w/Louisiana Lafayette: 6.4 points

The former three-star recruit began playing College Hoops at Mississippi State before transferring to Louisiana Lafayette in 2020-21. One year later, Butts contributed in the scoring column with double-figures in New Mexico JC'S 3-0 start, including 24 against Seward.

6.) Davin Zeigler 3rd Year Guard - Indian Hills

2020-21 stats w/Bowling Green: 2.8 points

In the opening two games, the 6-foot-5 guard paced all Indian Hills CC's scorers, averaging 14.5 points. Zeigler only had 17 total shots in the two games but shot over 60 percent from the field and 53 percent from three.

7.) Kyle Feit 4th year Guard - Indian River State

2020-21 stats w/Arizona State: 0.8 points

A Boca Raton native, Feit walked on at Arizona State for three seasons from 2018-2021. Despite never playing many minutes with the Sun Devils, years of experience practicing against High-Major division one players, including former JUCO star Alonzo Verge Jr, Two-Time PAC-12 first-teamer Remy Martin, and NBA guard Lu Dort gave Feit a tough test. In three games, the 6-foot-4 sharpshooting guard went 13-24 (54.1%), filling the shooting void left by outgoing guard Linton Brown.

8.) Nick Pringle, Sophomore Forward - Dodge City

2020-21 stats w/Wofford: 2.0 points, 2.1 rebounds

The athleticism of Pringle drew intrigue following a strong showing at the Rocky Mountain Jamboree, leading him to pledge his commitment to the Alabama Crimson Tide of the SEC. Pringle leads Dodge City with 8.0 rebounds in two games.
