Coach Ron Aldy returns for his ninth season overall and fourth consecutive as head of the Lady Bulldogs. Aldy served as head coach from 1988-92 and returned to the helm in the 2005 season.

Recognized around the country as a one of the best teachers of basketball, Aldy has sent several players to the professional ranks including WNBA standouts Merlakia Jones, Delisha Milton and Murriel Page. The Lady Gators went to five successive NCAA Tournaments finishing in the Elite Eight in 1997. The Lady Gators finished with a record of 110-44 and finished ranked at 23rd, 17th, 18th, 16th and 7th in the five seasons. The Aldy-led teams of 1991 and 1992 at Holmes Community College were some of the best in team history.

The 1992 team, that finished with a 34-1 overall record, took both the state and region championships finishing fifth in the NJCAA National Tournament. The 1991 team took the state championship. He served as coach at Kirk Academy (1971-88) and Chamberlain Hunt Military Academy (1969-71) before coming to HCC.

During his time in private school ranks, he won nine state championships in boys and girls basketball. He also had four overall state championships in girls basketball.

Aldy attended Hardy Junior High School and Central High School in Jackson. He received a bachelor of science degree from Ole Miss, where he played basketball for the Rebels.
