The PRCC rodeo team ended its fall season last weekend with at Murray State's competition.
The fifth event of the fall saw freshmen Kaleigh Graham (Petal) stand out once again.
Graham placed 11th out of 80 participants in barrel racing. It was her best finish of the season.
Coach Robbie Shaw was pleased with the progression he saw in Graham this season.
"Kaleigh had a really good finish to the season. She has really found her groove," Shaw said. "She has improved a lot."
One of the more consistent spots for PRCC this year was sophomore Carli Hodges (Summerdale, Alabama).
Hodges is tied for first in the region for barrel racing.
"It's going to be a tight race for Carli but she has been very consistent this season," Shaw said.
PRCC is sixth in points in the women's category.
"I think where we are right now points to what we could be if we can get on the same page," Shaw said.
Although the Rodeo Wildcats sustained a number of injuries during the fall campaign, Shaw is hopeful his team will be healthy once the spring season startsa in February.
"Tyler Stewart should be healthy to start the spring, so that will help a lot," Shaw said. "I'm pretty confident that everyone will step their game up."
