PERKINSTON — Margarita Lopareva won two more matches, and converted soccer player Chloe Fell claimed her first victory in Mississippi Gulf Coast's 6-3 loss to No. 16 Iowa Central on Monday at the MGCCC Tennis Complex.
Margarita Lopareva (So., Moscow Russia/School No. 1101) won her No. 1 singles match 6-2, 6-3 over Paulina Jankun and teamed with Megan Bankston (So., Gulfport/Gulfport) to win No. 1 doubles 8-3 over Thandi Kololo and Dayana Ortega.
Fell (Fr., Bury, England/Woodhey), who is on loan from the women's soccer team, defeated Molly Lennon 6-4, 6-2.
The Lady Bulldogs are right back in action Tuesday with a trip to Itawamba. First serves are at 1 p.m.
