The Meridian Community College men's team fell by the score of 80-68. The first half was full of back and forth action with neither team able to build a big lead. The Eagles trailed by 10 with two minutes left in the half but were able to finish the half on a 7-0 run to cut the score to 29-26.
The Eagles fell behind early in the second half and were never able to overcome the early deficit. The Eagles trailed by as much as 20 early in the half but were able to cut it to single digits late in the contest. The Lions of EMCC were able to hit some free throws late to put the game away.
With the loss the Eagles fall to 4-4 on the season. The men will be back in action Monday, January 7 against Faith Prep. Tip-off in Graham Gymnasium will be at 6:30.
