Itawamba golf team earns Top 5 ranking in NJCAA DII poll

FULTON, Miss. – The Itawamba Community College golf team checked in at No. 5 in the latest Golfstat National Junior College Athletic Association (NJCAA) Division II rankings.

South Mountain (AZ) Community College earn the top spot in the nation followed defending national champion Mississippi Gulf Coast Community College, Kirkwood (IA) Community College, and Murray State (KY) Community College.

Other MACJC programs ranked in the Top 10: No. 6 Meridian Community College and No. 8 Hinds Community College.

Dean Garrett (New Albany) is ranked No. 14 in the Division II and III player rankings while Brandon Barrett (Tupelo) earned the No. 18 spot in the individual Top 20 rankings.

ICC will be back in action Monday, October 29 and Tuesday, October 30 at the Mississippi Gulf Coast Fall Invitational at Windance Country Club in Gulfport.
