Leakesville, MS native and former Greene County high school football star Noah Mitchell commits to Arkansas State.

Noah Mitchell is on his way to the Sun Belt conference after a stellar two years at Pearl River CC. Mitchell led the MS JUCO football conference in regular season total tackles in both seasons while at Pearl River community college. In 2019, Mitchell had 91 total tackles. He played in eight of the nine regular season games for the Wildcats. In 2020, Mitchell delivered again.  He averaged nearly 14 total tackles a game and led the conference with 83 total tackles in only six games played due to the corona virus pandemic.

On choosing Arkansas State Mitchell said "I feel very comfortable with all the coaches and the relationship we've built." I feel that I will thrive in their program, and I cannot wait to get there and get to work."

Pearl River CC has been playing football since 1925. Noah Mitchell will go down as one of the best linebackers to play at Pearl River. His statistical numbers and his leadership say so.
